About

Katsujinken Dojo

is a Solihull based practice hall for Japanese martial arts. From January 1st., 2010, we are joined by our Leominster sister dojo, and a practice hall in Ullenhall, Warwickshire.

A small friendly dojo, we welcome visitors and prospective new members to join us and enjoy the experience of training in the arts offered.

The club, and it's members, are all members of the British Kendo Association, and through them, the European Kendo Federation, and ultimatly the International Kendo Federation (Japan), and Zen Nippon Kendo Renmei (ZNKR).

This gives us regular access to senior instructors from the ZNKR, BKA and EKF, up to 8th.Dan level.

It also means we are constantly updated in the latest developments in each of the arts.

We are also an authorised Dosokai group of the Hyoho Niten Ichi Ryu.

We are always willing to help in our comunity, and in December 2009 we were asked to provide a fortnightly class at a local secondary school, Ninestiles School, Acocks Green. For 6 sessions, starting in January 2010 we have worked with a group of students practicing 'Ken jutsu', paired swordwork using boken, or wooden swords.

Feel free to enquire about how we may be able to help your event or activity.

We also include access to Reiki therapy and training. Please see the Reiki page for more details.
